Pooe Farms
Our Food Production division operating under the brand Pooe Farms, is tasked with the responsibility of sourcing products direct from the farmers. This strategic business unit continuously develops internal capacity through establishment of our own Feedmills. This business Unit will provide the group, particularly the production division with a major strategic advantage in influencing and controlling both our production capacity and prize, while assisting with maintaining firm control of our value chain.
This Unit also work with poultry farmers through our contract growing model. This model allows us to support emerging farmers as this scheme is exclusively meant for Previously Disadvantage Farmers, providing them with the much-needed guaranteed product take-off opportunities.
Once fully functional our Animal Feed business will be in strategic position to support our contract growers both beef and chicken in meeting our ever-growing demand of protein. These emerging contract growers will then focus on growing the best cattle and chicken without worrying about the high cost of feed.
